Adele

Adèle is a 55m aluminium performance Ketch displacing 300 t, built by Vitters and launched in 2004. She arrived in Auckland during October 09 and is currently in our Yard for comprehensive service and maintenance. She is described as a lady of the sea with classic forms that conceal avant-garde technological content. This is her second vist to Orams having first called during her maiden circumnavigation voyage.

  • The project work for this major Refit of Adele, includes:

    Haul out and launching
    Main engine full service
    Disconnect and service rig
    Removing computers
    Empty, clean and service all tanks
    Remove and install 16 new hull zincs
    Remove and service heater exchangers
    Replace injectors
    Replace all belts, zincs and filters
      

     

     

     

     

  • Paint bottom with 3 coats
    Paint Penguin on bottom of boat
    Varnish work (Exterior)
    Sand cap rails with long boards
    Block sand all other varnish on boat
    Exterior  varnish work
    Paint work on deck
    Repaint all Beige Awl grip on deck including bulwarks
    Repaint inside of Dorade, Vivid Red Awl Grip
    Sand fairing and repaint hull sides, cove stripe and boot stripe
    Sand and paint inside beach
    Repaint name in gold leaf
    Remove and service side door and boarding ladder
    Complete hot work for aft anchor roller removal
    Remove thru hull for # 3 generator
    Engine room Floor plates / Bilges / exhaust supports
    Make New Plates as required

  • Sand, prime and paint all Rondal hatches
    Clean and detail under generators
    Clean and paint as required though out boat

    Teak, sand decks, Cap rail and caulking work
    Replace 6 teak hand rails on cabin tops
    Cap rail maintenance Remove and recualk all sika seems around cabins
    Replace teak on cabin tops and locker lids
    Remove and replace teak around chain plates
    Remove and replace caulking on all teak deck seams
     

     

     

     

  • Remove all Rondal hatches
    Supply and install protective covers for all Rondal hatches
    Remove and replace inside hatch margins on all Rondal hatches
    Remove and replace all outside hatch margins on all Rondal hatches
    Reinstall glass and, hinges and dogs on all Rondal hatches
    Reinstall all Rondal hatches in boat

     

     

     


  • Deck hatches  Remove for service 
     

     

     

  • Exhausts Cover and protect interior
    Remove wood work to access exhausts
    Reinstall wood work

    Remove and service side door and boarding ladder
     

     

     

     

  • PLC and Helm panels upgrades 
    Service all systems plus Interior Woodwork,

    All Varnish work and Carpentry throughout vessel

     

     

  • Rebuild all 3 alternators
    Replace raw water pumps
    Remove, inspect and service 20 Sea water valves
    Air conditioning and heating systems - full service
    Replace chilled & hot water pumps -service all pipeworks
    Replace & remount both boiler elements x4 and service units
    Air handlers – replaced 8 x units
    Chiller plant - remove and install new unit
    Rebuild and replace pumps
    General pump work and paint pump inc rebuild & replace
    Fire / bilge pump repairs
    Emergency fire pump repairs
    Replace all strip lighting with LED lighting
    Remove # 3 generator and install Asea unit
    Batteries - remove all and reinstall with new
    install underwater lights at boarding ladder
