    The superyacht sy Athena is a 90m (295 ft) three-masted aluminium schooner and at the time of her launching in 2004 was the world’s largest private sailing yacht. Built by Royal Huisman with a displacement of 1,200 tonnes. The rig has 2,500 sq.m of sail with 55 captive and drum winches allowing fast tacks under full sail. Athena arrived at Orams Marine Services during February 2011 to carry out a fully comprehensive maintenance and service program. Read More...

    The 33m (108ft) Avalon was one of the World’s first superyachts built in New Zealand in 1987. The Ron Holland design has an aluminium hull and superstructure. Project work at Orams Marine Services was comprehensive including fitting a new Keel, paint and varnish work throughout, interior improvements plus pipework, general maintenance and servicing all systems. The rig is equipped with PBO standing rigging, The hull and sailing equipment is laid out for performance, cruising and regatta sailing. The mahogany interior styling matches the traditional lines of the vessel. She was hauled out at the Yard during November 2010 for maintenance, service and warranty work. Read More...

    The 53m (174ft) Drumbeat (ex Salperton) is a fast cruising Ketch designed by Dubois and built by Alloy Yachts NZ and launched in 2002. It is one of the largest pleasure craft ever built in New Zealand and one of the worlds best known sailing yachts. She has a 1400 HP Cat engine, displaces 375t ,a draft of 4.9m (16ft) with 95 tonnes keel ballast.
